The British rock band Coldplay has confirmed that its record-breaking Music of the Spheres World Tour will continue into 2027, extending one of the longest and most successful tours in modern music history. The tour originally began on 18 March 2022and was launched to promote the band’s albums Music of the Spheres (2021) and Moon Music (2024).
During a performance at London’s Wembley Stadium in September 2025, frontman Chris Martin revealed that the band still has around 138 additional shows planned, with new dates expected to be announced for 2027 after a temporary break. The announcement excited fans worldwide, as the tour has already become one of the highest-grossing concert tours ever, generating more than $1.5 billion and attracting over 13 million attendees across multiple continents.
The continuation of the tour demonstrates Coldplay’s commitment to live performances and large-scale stadium shows known for their colorful visuals, LED wristbands, fireworks, and audience participation. The band has also emphasized sustainability, introducing renewable energy sources and other environmental measures to reduce the tour’s carbon footprint.
Although exact cities and dates for the 2027 leg have not yet been officially released, reports suggest the next phase could include new regions and possibly the band’s long-awaited return to parts of Africa.
With more concerts on the horizon, Coldplay’s global tour is set to remain a major musical event well into 2027.
