Auburn men’s basketball is gearing up for the 2025-2026 Southeastern Conference (SEC) season following a highly successful 2024 campaign, which saw the Tigers capture the SEC regular season championship and make a memorable run to the Final Four. Head coach Bruce Pearl has reshaped the team’s roster dramatically for the upcoming season, bringing in 10 new players to replace much of last year’s squad. Only one player, guard Tahaad Pettiford, returns from the 2024 roster, making this one of the most transformed teams in the conference.
The journey begins on the road for Auburn, as the Tigers will open SEC play against Georgia on January 3. Their first opportunity to play in front of the home crowd at Neville Arena will come shortly after, on either January 6 or 7, when they host Texas A&M.
From there, Auburn’s conference schedule continues with a mix of tough home and away matchups. They’ll welcome Arkansas on January 10 before heading out to Missouri for a game on January 13 or 14. South Carolina comes to town on January 17, followed by road games at Ole Miss (January 20 or 21) and Florida (January 24).
One of the biggest matchups will take place on January 27 or 28 when Auburn hosts the Texas Longhorns, a recent addition to the SEC. The Tigers then travel to face Tennessee on January 31, wrapping up a challenging opening month.
February begins with a high-stakes rivalry game, as Auburn hosts in-state rival Alabama on February 7. The Tigers then take on Vanderbilt at home on February 10 or 11 before hitting the road again for games at Arkansas (February 14) and Mississippi State (February 17 or 18). On February 21, Auburn hosts college basketball powerhouse Kentucky, always one of the season’s marquee matchups.
The final stretch includes a trip to Oklahoma on February 24 or 25, a home rematch with Ole Miss on February 28, and a senior night showdown against LSU on either March 3 or 4. The Tigers will wrap up the regular season with a return trip to face Alabama in Tuscaloosa on March 7.
The 2026 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament will then be held from March 11 to 15 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, where Auburn will hope to continue their postseason success.
